Seminar: "MUN I: Introduction to Model United Nations"

The seminar "Model United Nations" serves as the core academic preparation for students representing the University of Bayreuth at the NMUN Conference in New York City. It covers:

  • The structure and functioning of the UN,

  • Country-specific research and policy formulation,

  • Position paper writing, resolution drafting, and public speaking,

  • Key diplomatic soft and hard skills.

Students also participate in three practice conferences to apply what they’ve learned – including simulations hosted in Bayreuth and other cities like Bonn, Bamberg, Erfurt, Frankfurt, Ljubljana, Marrakesh, Pozan, Rabat or Montreal.
